Keto Taco Pie Casserole

This satisfying keto taco pie casserole is perfect for a busy week or a make-ahead party dish suitable for all ages!  Easy to make and a crowd-pleaser, this flavourful low-carb recipe is customizable with your favourite toppings - or those that best fit your macros - such as guacamole, chopped cherry tomatoes, sour cream, chives, cilantro or peppers.  Let's get cooking!

Keto Taco Pie

Ingredients

Seasoned Beef
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2-1 teaspoon chipotle powder (use less if too spicy)
Salt and pepper to taste
Egg Mixture
5 eggs
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
Toppings
1 1/2-2 cups shredded cheese
Sliced jalapeno without seeds (optional)
Garnish with smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
Seasoned Beef

Sauté the ground beef until no longer pink. Add the chili powder, cumin and chipotle seasoning. Salt and pepper to taste.

Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or casserole dish with avocado oil. Add the cooked beef to the dish.
Egg Mixture

In a separate bowl whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, cream cheese and salt. Pour over the seasoned ground beef.
Toppings

Layer shredded cheese on top followed by jalapeno slices and a sprinkle of paprika for garnish.

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Bake the taco pie casserole for 30 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown.

Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Serve the taco pie with your favourite toppings. In our home, that's with guacamole, chopped cherry tomatoes, sour cream, chives and cilantro. Enjoy!
